The resource oriented computing (ROC) computing abstraction that powers NetKernel is rather simple. All of the richness of ROC is based on a set of resource models and extensions that work together like click-fit parts to form the higher level computing platform.

This reference guide describes the foundation for building NetKernel applications and systems including modules, spaces, grammars and more. Once you understand the foundation, learn more about the wealth of pre-built parts that you can use to build applications.

If you are new to resource oriented computing, you may benefit from the ROC Basics tutorial which provides a progressive set of worked examples that teaches the basic ROC architectural building blocks.

If you want to build new parts, consult the Physical Reference Guide.
